He holds a PhD in computer science, but abandoned science in 2009 to focus on photography. He is one of the founders of Third Floor Gallery\u00a0in Cardiff and a member of two street photography collectives\u00a0In-Public\u00a0and Un-Posed. He has worked on various photographic projects, organised and lead numerous photography workshops and his interests are in documentary, travel and street photography. Maciej\u2019s photos have been widely published and exhibited around the world, shown at photo festivals and he is a recipient of numerous awards. He was profiled in two major street photography books published by Thames &amp; Hudson \u2013 \u201cStreet Photography Now\u201d in 2010 and \u201cThe World Atlas of Street Photography\u201d in 2014. Maciej\u2019s first monograph\u00a0\u201cCardiff After Dark\u201d\u00a0was published in October 2012.
