You can check the firmware update status on the display.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:80px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Detail of the firmware update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"block_bb6f229b1f5b7c6634ee0c085c37b56f\"\n\tclass=\"wp-block block-support no-align\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item open\">\n\t\t\t\t<a class=\"accordion-title\" href=\"javascript:;\">\n\t\t\t\t\tVer.1.10\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The firmware update Ver.1.10 from Ver.1.06 incorporates the following issues:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The white balance is maintained and does not shift even when shooting with the following PL lenses attached to the included genuine PL mount adapter.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u30fbFujifilm PL lenses that have not been updated to firmware compatible with the GFX ETERNA 55.<br \/>\n\u30fbThird-party PL lenses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: Be sure to update the firmware only after the project is complete if you are currently working on a project shot with the previous firmware otherwise the color tone may change after a firmware update.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Several stabilities and operabilities of the camera during menu operations and recording under certain conditions have been enhanced.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Several display accuracies, timecodes, and monitor behaviors in certain shooting and playback situations have been improved.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item \">\n\t\t\t\t<a class=\"accordion-title\" href=\"javascript:;\">\n\t\t\t\t\tVer.1.06\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The firmware update Ver.1.06 from Ver.1.04\/Ver.1.05 incorporates the following issues:<br \/>\n<strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-red-color\">* Please connect an external monitor during firmware updates. You can check the firmware update status on the external monitor.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Display delay of the external monitor connected via SDI or HDMI is improved.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This improvement effects under either of the following setting conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbPROJECT \u2794 RESOLUTION \u2794 4K 4:3<br \/>\n\u30fbPROJECT \u2794 MEDIA REC SETTING \u2794 MEDIA REC SETTING \u2794 ProResHQ, ProRes 422 or ProRes LT<br \/>\n\u30fbPROJECT \u2794 F-Log2\/HLG\/RAW \u2794 SDI\/HDMI OUTPUT RAW SETTING \u2794 OFF<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The firmware bugs causing the following issues are fixed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>(1) When switching between the \u201cMULTI\u201d and \u201cTRACKING\u201d settings in AF mode, \u2018AREA\u2019 mode may occasionally become active even though \u201cMULTI\u201d is selected.<\/p>\n<p>(2) When opening the Playback screen without a storage media inserted and pressing certain buttons, an unintended screen may appear.<\/p>\n<p>(3) When attaching a FUJINON Duvo series lens to the GFX ETERNA 55 and operating the expander while recording, the camera freezes.<\/p>\n<p>(4) AF tracking does not work when the FOCUS LEVER SETTING is set to \u201cPUSH TO UNLOCK\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(5) The CLIP does not play during playback.<\/p>\n<p>(6) When applying the default LUT in F-Log2C settings, banding may occasionally occur under high-saturation lighting conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Note: As part of the measures to address the above issue, the 3D-LUT, F-Log2C_to_WDR\u201d, for the GFX ETERNA 55 available on the following website is also updated from Ver.1.00 to Ver.1.10.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fujifilm-x.com\/el-gr\/support\/download\/lut\/\"> 3D-LUT<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(7) Other minor issues.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item \">\n\t\t\t\t<a class=\"accordion-title\" href=\"javascript:;\">\n\t\t\t\t\tVer.1.04\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The firmware update Ver.1.04 from Ver.1.02\/Ver.1.03 incorporates the following issues:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Display delay of the external monitor connected via SDI or HDMI is improved. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This improvement effects only when using one of the following formats: [4K 16:9], [4K 17:9], [FHD 16:9], or [FHD 17:9], and when [RECORDING FPS] is set to 25 or lower, and [IS SETTING] \/ [INTERFRAME NR] is set to [OFF].<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Note:Display delay is improved by approximately 40ms reduction comparing to Ver.1.03 and earlier.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The following firmware bugs are fixed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>(1)The camera may freeze after the firmware update completes if the update is performed using only the rechargeable battery (NP-W235) for power supply.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Note1:Use an external power supply when updating the firmware this time, this improvement is effective after applying this firmware.<br \/>\nNote2:After updating to Ver.1.04, the firmware updates will automatically turn the camera power OFF.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(2)The camera it may freeze at the sensor cleaning screen when turning on the camera under the following settings.<br \/>\n\u30fbA PL mount adapter is attached.<br \/>\n\u30fbAn external monitor is connected via HDMI and the monitor\u2019s power is turned off.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item \">\n\t\t\t\t<a class=\"accordion-title\" href=\"javascript:;\">\n\t\t\t\t\tVer.1.02\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The firmware update Ver.1.02 from Ver.1.00\/Ver.1.01 incorporates the following issues:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>External recorder recording function to ATOMOS devices is newly added.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This new firmware enables the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA 55 to make external RAW recording by 4:3 open gate, 4K, and up to 48fps.<br \/>\nAdditionally, RAW output is newly available via SDI in addition to HDMI, enabling versatile use across various film production environments.<br \/>\nPlease be sure to update your external recorder to the latest firmware before use. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atomos.com\/product-support\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">please see here.<\/a><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The display design of the menu screen is changed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The brightness of the side monitor becomes darker than the previous condition if the [-5] is selected for the brightness of the [Side monitor] through the following operation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>[SET UP] \u2794 [LCD SETTING] \u2794 [LCD BRIGHTNESS]<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Look &amp; feel of the [TIME CODE] display shown on the [Side monitor] is improved.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Response times becomes shorter when operating the following settings.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Operation Settings:[FPS], [ISO], [SHUTTER], [ND], [WB], [PROJECT FPS], [RESOLUTION] and [IMAGE FORMAT]<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The default (starting) value for [Clip No.] is changed from 0000 to 0001.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The default value for [SHARPNESS] is changed from 4 to 0.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Note:Be aware that you need to initialize the camera to make the above change take effect.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The following firmware bugs are fixed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>(1)The recording does not start while AF is locked with touch AF through the following operation flow.<br \/>\n[FOCUS] \u2794 [TOUCH SCREEN MODE] \u2794 [AF]<br \/>\n(2)Selecting [RESET ALL EXCEPT NETWORK SETTINGS] does not reset the [TIME CODE] through the following operation flow.<br \/>\n[TIME CODE] \u2794 [COUNT UP SETTING] \u2794 [FREE RUN]<br \/>\n(3)The aperture value cannot be changed when selecting [IRIS] in the [RECORDING] menu under the following setting conditions.<br \/>\n\u30fbUse GF lenses with an aperture ring other than the GF32-90mm T3.5 PZ OIS WR.<br \/>\n\u30fbSet the aperture ring position to C.<br \/>\n\u30fbSelect [T NUMBER] of the [IRIS DISP] in the [RECORDING] menu.<br \/>\n(4)The [CUSTOM ASPECT] is not displayed at the correct aspect ratio.<br \/>\n(5)Synchronization failure of the [TIME CODE]<br \/>\n(6) The side monitor display occasionally remains in REC mode even after stopping REC.<br \/>\n(7) The outside side monitor turns off occasionally when starting and stopping REC repeatedly.<br \/>\n(8) The outside indicator lamp remains lit or remains off occasionally when starting and stopping REC repeatedly.<br \/>\n(9) The default setting for the mount adapter should be [OFF], but it is set to [Lens 1].<br \/>\n(10) Loading more than 13 LUT files may cause unstable operation.<br \/>\n(11)Other minor class=\"wp-block-heading\">Firmware Update Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check the firmware version.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare a formatted memory card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download the firmware and copy it to the card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put the memory card with the firmware in the camera and update it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex operate correctly in some cases. Carefully read the notes provided here*Always use the fully-charged battery when updating the firmware as a basic manner.
