At their widest settings, wide-angle lenses create striking, almost exaggerated perspectives. Ultra wide-angle vs standard wide-angle lenses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a significant difference between ultra wide-angle optics and their more restrained counterparts \u2013 and understanding this distinction can help you choose the right tool for your work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenses with full-frame equivalent focal lengths of around 12-24mm are considered ultra wide-angle. These are specialist optics capable of delivering dramatic perspectives. A fixed-aperture zoom covering ultra wide perspectives, the FUJINON XF8-16mmF2.8 R LM WR is a specialist lens designed for dramatic imagery.
