Jan Gonzales is a commercial and fine art portrait photographer based in Cebu – a city he describes as a melting pot of dreamers and survivors. He specializes in visual direction and production of high-end images, for advertising, publication, and beyond.

This image maker’s style is distinct and refined, living far outside studio norms. His lighting style and elaborate set designs are reminiscent of renaissance art, executed with a modern twist. Thanks to his skill and unique creative eye, Jan has been a proud FUJIFILM X-Photographer for close to a decade. He has shared his knowledge at many prestigious international events.

Created especially for Fujikina 2022, Jan’s latest project is one of his boldest to date. The angels and vikings concept is quintessentially Gonzales, and the result is a stirring series of Rembrandt-esque scenes. While X Series has seen plenty of evolution in Jan’s time, FUJIFILM X-H2 – with which the project was created – has allowed him to express his vision like never before.
