I went to the desert with a foolish idea\u2015to look for a ghost. One that smells of celluloid, gunpowder, and frozen time.
Since I was a child, Sergio Leone\u2019s cinema taught me how to look. His wide shots, his tense silences, his characters made of dust and scars. Especially \u201cThe Good, the Bad and the Ugly\u201d, with its stylized violence, its dry humor\u2014almost castellano, like myself\u2014and that final duel as a liturgy of the frame.
I returned to the place where that film\u2014and many others\u2014were shot : Tabernas, Almer\u00eda. To see if anything still lingered. Even just the echo. In the middle of July, in the desert, with no concessions. I brought only the new FUJIFILM X-E5 and the FUJINON XF23mmF2.8 R WR. A light, discreet, straightforward combo\u2014like a well-oiled Colt Peacemaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire work is done SOOC (straight out of the camera), with no editing or cropping afterwards\u2014almost as an act of rebellion: a defense of mistakes, poorly measured color, and crooked framing. A way of reclaiming the human in a world of artificial intelligence that smooths and perfects everything. Because beauty also lies in what doesn\u2019t quite fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I shot like you would in a duel: without thinking too much, just feeling. As if the camera were an extension of the body. I used Velvia like someone playing an old song to remember.
Saturated colors, harsh contrasts, unapologetic intensity. With Velvia, I\u2019m not seeking truth, but its most exaggerated, wounded version. The world in Velvia looks like a movie set\u2026 but one that still breathes.
I walked the badlands and the false towns. The theme parks and the remnants of legendary shoots. And there it all was: the dust, the heat, the wind, the silence with a knife in it. The sets, half-defeated by the sun, still standing like old actors waiting for one last take. And me, behind the camera, I could almost see Leone crouched behind a corner, composing his final frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a story told with light, sweat, dust, and color. It doesn\u2019t aim to be truth. Nor does it need to.
I didn\u2019t photograph the desert: I daydreamed it with my eyes open.
Because there are places that only exist when someone remembers them.
And if you look closely, you might still see, in the distance, Sergio Leone riding toward the last shot.
Thank you, maestro, for teaching us that silence can be framed, that epic fits in a glance, and that sometimes all you need is dust, light, and patience to tell a story that won\u2019t be forgotten.

Fotografiar en Acros+ R, la belleza de lo sencillo<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cuando pienso en fotografiar pienso que sacarle provecho a la vida mirando de una forma personal y diferente. No quiero que la realidad pase por delante de m\u00ed sin parar, quiero detenerla a mi manera. La Fujifilm X-E5<\/a> <\/strong>es, sin duda, una c\u00e1mara que se aproxima mucho a esta forma de pensar. Es discreta, compacta, liviana. No intimida, no distrae. Tiene lo justo y necesario para centrarse en lo que importa: disfrutar de lo que tienes ante tus ojos y capturarlo. Si adem\u00e1s la combinas con disparar en Acros+ R, todo fluye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En un mundo saturado de im\u00e1genes exageradas y efectos estramb\u00f3ticos, trabajar en blanco y negro con un toque y car\u00e1cter diferente, es casi una decisi\u00f3n de valent\u00eda. Es pensar distinto. Es volver a la esencia. Trabajar los JPG directos de c\u00e1mara con una recta basada en Acros+ R te permite capturar una gran riqueza tonal con un contraste muy bonito e intenso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En la sencillez est\u00e1 la fuerza. Y el contraste bien usado, no es solo una herramienta visual, es una forma de narrar tu propia realidad. Po eso me gusta aportar un poco m\u00e1s de contraste a la base del Acros+ R. En mi receta le aplico +1 a las Altas Luces y a las Sombras. Me gusta que las fotos en blanco y negro mantengan un cierto recuerdo al filtro rojo, por eso le doy un poco de desviaci\u00f3n c\u00e1lida al Acros, por lo dem\u00e1s, esta simulaci\u00f3n trabaja de forma fant\u00e1stica los tonos grises para dar una impresi\u00f3n f\u00edlmica muy interesante.

Esta simulaci\u00f3n de pel\u00edcula convierte la ciudad en un escenario casi atemporal, donde las luces y las sombras juegan su propio papel. La luz dura del mediod\u00eda se convierte en trazo intenso. La penumbra de un portal se vuelve misteriosa. El contraste que aporta el filtro rojo realza cada plano, cada textura, y le da un volumen m\u00e1s potente a cada foto. Pero no debes olvidar, que las sombras siempre mantendr\u00e1n algo de detalle, y esto es un plus de usar Acros Red, mantienes un contraste que le da cuerpo a tu foto con luz dura, pero sin llegar a perder los negros manteniendo controladas las altas luces.

Lo mejor, es que todo est\u00e1 hecho. Es mirar por el visor, encuadrar y disparar. La foto est\u00e1 terminada y al sacar las fotos de la tarjeta de memoria ya est\u00e1n preparadas para ser vistas, sin necesidad de ajustes posteriores. En lo personal me gustan las fotograf\u00edas con cierto car\u00e1cter. No necesito la perfecci\u00f3n, necesito que transmitan sensaciones. El haber trabajado \u00fanicamente con Acros+ Rha hecho que me enfocara m\u00e1s en otro tipo de fotograf\u00eda, algo m\u00e1s reflexivo y pausado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En mi fotograf\u00eda cotidiana busco color, rostros, expresiones y momentos. En esta ocasi\u00f3n, mirar en blanco y negro recogiendo tanta riqueza en los tonos grises, me ha hecho pensar como si disparara con una c\u00e1mara de carrete. He fotografiado desde un punto de vista m\u00e1s \u00edntimo y tranquilo. Captar texturas, recuerdos, sensaciones de mi hogar, de mis viajes, de mi trabajo. Tener las fotograf\u00edas listas tan r\u00e1pido y con tanta sencillez me ha divertido y me ha reencontrado con otro tipo de fotograf\u00eda.
