Flash of firmware update steps<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The procedure below is explained with the combination of a camera and a flash (without a lens).
And the current version is \u201c1.01\u201d and the updated version \u201c1.02\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Prepare the necessities for the firmware update.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. A camera and flash to be updated<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A fully charged battery for the camera \/ New or fully charged batteries for the flash.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A formatted memory card<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The firmware (to be downloaded from this site.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    2. Firmware version checking procedure.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Turn off the camera and put the card in it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Attach the flash to the camera and lock the shoe lock lever.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Turn on the flash.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Turn on the camera pressing \u201cDIP \/ BACK\u201d button of the camera to check the fiemware version. (In the pictures below, the version of the flash is \u201c1.01\u201d.)

    5. Turn off the camera<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      If the version is the latest, the firmware update is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Prepare the formatted memory card.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Turn on the camera.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Press \u201cMENU\/OK\u201d button and select \u201cFORMAT\u201d in the SET-UP menu.

      3. Press the selector button(up) to select \u201cOK\u201d and press the \u201cMENU\/OK\u201d button. Then, the format will start.

        4. Download the firmware and copy it to the card.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        1. Put the formatted memory card to a card reader slot of your PC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Download the firmware \u201cFAUP0001.DAT\u201d for the flash.\n
