He likes to work with flash to create striking environmental portraits in remote locations, whether it\u2019s the Mongolian Altai mountains or the Omo river valley in Southern Ethiopia. When he\u2019s not traveling, he\u2019s writing books and creating tutorials about photography, lighting and image editing. In his spare time, he likes to reverse engineer the lighting setups of popular tv-shows or play Monopoly with \u2013 and get beaten by \u2013 his son Noah.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"xphotographerspost__about_texts\">\n<p>I started my Fujifilm journey with the original X-Pro and the 18, 35 and 60 mm primes because I was looking for something smaller than my DSLR that would still give me excellent image quality. Over the years, I\u2019ve worked with most of the Fujifilm cameras but when in 2016, I got a chance to test drive the GFX50S and make a testimonial video about it in Varanasi, India, I was completely hooked on the GFX system, which is now my go-to setup. I love the GFX system because it\u2019s still relatively lightweight and compact given the incredible quality and the raw files it produces are a dream to work with in postprocessing.
