In his mountaineering career to date Saulius climbed virgin peaks in China, skied up and down a 7500 m peak, and was awarded the title of Snow Leopard for climbing the 5 highest peaks of Central Asia (all above 7000 m). He also completed an unsupported crossing of frozen Baltic sea on skis from Finland to Sweden in 2016.<br \/>\nSaulius uses photography to document his remarkable expeditions in the most extreme and pristine environments on earth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"xphotographerspost__about_texts\">\n<p>I always relied on a heavy DSLR system to photograph my expeditions. However, its weight usually forced me to reduce the whole system to a single lens camera once I was away from the Base Camp. Fortunately, I switched to Fujifilm X-system, which proved to be much lighter and extremely reliable.
