Was inspired by late Japanese photographer Michio Hoshino and subsequently went solo camping in Alaska to take photographs in the vast wilderness. These experiences inspired her to become a photographer.<br \/>\nJoined Reuters news agency in 2001 after graduating Aoyama University. Worked as a text and television reporter. Was assigned to the photo department in 2002. Covered various news events, including international conferences, sports, nature, entertainment, documentary, natural disasters etc. as a staff photographer. Works with major international news agencies, newspapers, governments, embassies, outdoor brands and automobile makers, after becoming an independent photographer since 2013. Shoots photos and videos for her clients.<br \/>\nIs especially passionate about making pictures for personal projects with themes like \u0346Connection with Nature,\u0347\u0346Unseen Worlds\u0347and\u0346 Land of Gods.\u0347<br \/>\nMoved to Europe in May, 2017.
