Lenses of firmware update steps<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

*The steps below is explained with the current version 1.00 and the new version 1.10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Prepare the necessities for the firmware update.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. A GFX ETERNA 55<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A lens to be updated<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A LCD Monitor (Included) <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. AC-15VS AC power adapter (Included)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. A formatted memory card<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. The firmware (to be downloaded from this site.)
    Note: Please connect an external monitor during firmware updates. You can check the firmware update status on the external monitor.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    2. Firmware version checking procedure.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Turn off the camera and put the card in it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Press the \u201cMENU\u201d button, then check the current firmware version under \u201cSET UP\u201d > \u201cFIRMWARE UPDATE\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Turn off the camera<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      * If the version is the latest, the firmware update is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Prepare the formatted memory card.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      A formatted memory card is required for the firmware update. If the card is formatted, all the files including protected files in the card will be erased. If you need the files, copy them to a PC etc. before formatting the card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Turn on the camera.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Press the \u201cMENU\u201d button, then select \u201cSET UP\u201d > \u201cFORMAT\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Press Screen button 4 and Screen button 6 simultaneously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Turn the camera off after the format is completed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        4. Download the firmware and copy it to the card.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Put the formatted memory card to a card reader slot of your PC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Download the firmware \u201cGFUP00##.DAT\u201d for the camera.
          \u30fb\u201c##(figures)\u201d in the \u201cGFUP00##.DAT\u201d varies depending on models.
          \u30fbClick \u201cI Agree-Begin Download\u201d after you have read \u201cLicense Agreement\u201d to proceed to the download page.
          \u30fbCheck if there is no file with the same name in a destination of the firmware to save. If there is a file with the same name, a browser can automatically change the name of the firmware and a camera cannot recognize the firmware correctly.
          \u30fbIf you don\u2019t know the steps to save the firmware, refer to the steps below.

        3. Copy the downloaded \u201cFPUPDATE.DAT\u201d file to the card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Take the card from the card reader slot after the copy is completed and put it to the camera.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          5. Put the card with the firmware in the camera and update it.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          If the firmware update fails, the camera cannot work well. Make sure to follow the two things below.
