One of my favourite features of X-S20 is, of course, the 7 stop IBIS. I can shoot handheld at low ISO settings and long exposure times, especially in low-light environments, thanks to this feature. This way I produce less grainy and sharper photos and videos. It is so much fun to be able to take photos that shine like stars, even when shot in dark environments!
I am also more than satisfied with the X-S20’s improved AF tracking system for its capability of maintaining the sharpness of moving subjects. Its ability to maintain the sharpness of predefined objects, especially like birds, animals, motorcycles, bicycles, cars, and planes, has been of great help to me while shooting photographs and videos. Now I can shoot moving objects without worrying about their sharpness!
A Nice Start for Potential Vloggers
SR-Auto and Vlog modes are just a few of the user-friendly features of X-S20. SR-Auto makes the camera automatically recognize the scene I shoot and offers the best settings. But what really impressed me was the Vlog mode. Background blurring and product-focused shooting modes are great features for travellers, people promoting products, and especially amateur users and those who do not want to waste time with manual settings. Even I, as a professional videographer, have often used these modes.
If you’re a content creator who likes to be in front of the camera like me, the X-S20’s fully rotating screen and inputs and outputs that do not block the display are truly life-saving features. This allows me to see myself clearly during the shoot and adjust the camera angle, light and composition perfectly. With this feature, it is much easier to achieve professional results even when shooting all by myself.
Special Tripod for Fujifilm X-S20
Fujifilm’s new tripod TG-BT1 has become an essential accessory, especially for my trips and when shooting travel videos. The solid and lightweight construction of the tripod makes it easy to carry it with me. It allows me to capture stable and sharp images regardless of whether I shoot still or moving subjects and it improves the quality of my videos greatly. I can easily control the camera and shoot from the angles I want, especially for moving subjects, thanks to the ergonomic structure of TG-BT1.
I can install an External Fan (FAN-001) on it, which is a great advantage as it allows me to complete longer shooting sessions comfortably without any overheating issues. This way, I can work without compromising camera performance, especially in hot weather or during busy shooting sessions. The External Fan extends the product life of the camera and gives me peace of mind.
Enjoy the Freedom with Long Battery Life
The battery life of X-S20 also impressed me. Shooting 750 photo frames on a single charge is a huge advantage, especially for my travels and busy shooting days. I can shoot 90 minutes of video in 4K/60p video mode with a single battery, which is a big deal for me. I can say that I no longer have to think about changing batteries!
Nostalgic Neg. Film Simulation, on the other hand, works almost like a time machine. It has such original and interesting colours that I get great results with the YouTube videos I shoot without even editing colours in the post-production phase. Additionally, I can always get the best colours while shooting with the settings featured in the camera, such as Curve and sharpness. You must be able to restrain yourself to avoid getting lost in this enchanting world of colours!
Lightweight, Compact and Highly Advanced
The ergonomics and ease of use of FUJIFILM X-S20 are also important for me. The camera has a light and compact design, despite its solid and durable construction. So I can carry it with me easily and start shooting whenever I want. I can also easily switch between the menus and get the settings I want thanks to its touch screen and quick access buttons. That helps me save time and energy and concentrate more on the actual work itself.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are among the important features of X-S20 for users focusing on social media and posting. I can instantly transfer my photos and videos to my mobile phone, edit them and share them on my social media accounts thanks to the new XApp, which is much faster and improved than the previous app. I can also use my mobile phone as a remote control for the camera and manage the shooting process. It makes my work easier even when shooting by myself and allows me to share materials faster.
All in all, FUJIFILM X-S20 offered better performance than I expected for shooting pictures and videos, and I am more than satisfied with it.
