FUJIFILM Canada Launches “Join the Fujifilm Family” Marketing Campaign

MISSISSAUGA, Ont., August 10, 2023 — FUJIFILM Canada Inc.’s Electronic Imaging Division announced today the launch of its “Join the Fujifilm Family”, an amusing marketing campaign that focuses on the unique features that make creators fall in love with Fujifilm photography gear.

“There are certain distinctive attributes that attract photographers and content creators to the Fujifilm brand,” said Mark Montpetit, director of marketing, FUJIFILM Canada Inc., Electronic Imaging Division. “This campaign focuses on these attributes in a fun, fresh way, illuminating the special features of our FUJIFILM X Series digital camera and lens products and connecting with creators who are looking to make a difference.”

As part of the “Join the Fujifilm Family” ad series, core FUJIFILM X Series digital camera and lens product (“X Series”) features are depicted as characters in a fictionalized and fantastical family. Each vignette is stylized as a “portrait” of them – where their casting, wardrobe, and backdrop helps distinguish the type of consumer the unique selling proposition benefits and most relates to. Each piece is guided by an omnipresent narrator that tells us about the character and the advantages of the gear.

Campaign Overview:
The three vignettes in the ad series focus on differentiated product features in the X Series lineup – the products’ unique Film Simulation Modes, compact and lightweight engineering, and superior versatility over full-frame camera systems. The storylines include:

●      “Match any vibe”: A young photographer, seeking the right look for both herself and her images, picks up her FUJIFILM X Series camera and experiments with the large array of Film Simulation Modes, which can change the look and feel of an image, from modern to vintage and everything in between. With so many film simulation and custom setting options on her FUJIFILM camera, the perfect aesthetic for every image is only a click away.

●      “Great things can come in small packages”: With his overloaded bag of everything but the kitchen sink weighing him down, a frazzled and frustrated photographer discovers that, while small in form, FUJIFILM X Series gear is large in features, allowing the photographer to avoid exhausting himself carrying excessive gear when X Series provides everything he needs.

●      “Work smarter, not harder”: Continuously stretching himself, both figuratively and literally, to create the perfect image, but finding it continuously just out of reach with his current kit, a content creator discovers how Fujifilm’s dynamic array of X Series lenses, with Fujifilm’s APS-C sensor, can help him “work smarter, not harder” when creating content.

The entire “Join the Fujifilm Family” ad series was created using the highly acclaimed FUJIFILM X-H2S mirrorless camera.  The marketing campaign will be shared organically commencing in August, 2023 via FUJIFILM Canada’s YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram channels, and will also appear as sponsored content on YouTube, Tik Tok, Meta, Bell Media, Reddit and Equativ.
