Jonas Bendiksen
Magnum: A World in Color
Jonas Bendiksen is a Norwegian photographer whose work explores how technology, faith, and human imagination shape the ways we see and inhabit the world. Over the past twenty-five years he has photographed stories from every corner of the globe, working for many of the world’s leading publications while developing long-term projects that balance documentary realism with curiosity and play.
His early book Satellites (2006) looked at forgotten enclaves left behind after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Places We Live (2008) brought viewers inside homes in some of the world’s largest urban slums through immersive photography and projection. The Last Testament (2017) portrayed seven men who each believed themselves to be the Second Coming of Christ, while
The Book of Veles (2021) examined truth and deception in the digital age through a blend of AI-generated imagery and photojournalistic form. Bendiksen has been a member of Magnum Photos since 2004. He lives near Oslo with his family.
In his talk, Jonas Bendiksen will present the project he developed for Magnum: A World in Color, a collaboration between Magnum Photos and Fujifilm. Expanding on this, he will offer insights into his ever-evolving photographic practice, guiding us through a selection of personal projects carried out in different places over the past decades.

Trine Søndergaard (b. 1972) is a Danish photography-based visual artist. Søndergaard lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Trine Søndergaard’s work is marked by a precision and a sensibility that co-exist with an investigation of the medium of photography, its boundaries and what constitutes an image. She is internationally acclaimed for her quiet and powerful imagery and has received the The Albert Renger-Patzsch Prize, the three-year working grant from the Danish Arts Foundation and the Eckersberg Medal.
Greger Ulf Nilson is a Swedish art director, designer, and curator renowned for his work with contemporary photography and photobooks. Founder of Stockholm’s GunGallery, he has designed and curated numerous influential photography books and exhibitions in Sweden and internationally.

Masazumi Imai
How Masazumi Imai designs Cameras for Fujifilm
Masazumi Imai is a Design Manager specializing in product design for Fujifilm’s X and GFX series of digital cameras. After graduating from Tama Art University, he began his career designing film cameras, binoculars, and compact printers. In 2002, he joined Fujifilm Corporation, where he played a pivotal role in the design and launch of the groundbreaking first-generation X100 in 2011. Over the next decade, Imai was instrumental in shaping the acclaimed X and GFX camera lines, which collectively earned over 100 prestigious international design awards.

The photo editor is an extinct race. In a world that produces more photographs than ever is the role of the photo editor paradoxically almost extinct. The knowledge and the practice is now professionally left not as a major form of our daily communication and expression, but as a random visual language without history and context.
Nils Vik was born in Oslo, Norway the same week Frank and Nancy Sinatra were topping the hit lists both in USA and UK. He was trained as a photographer in the north of England in the late 80s and has worked as an editorial and commercial photographer for more than 20 years. In 2007 he was appointed and still is the Photo Editor of D2 magazine, a weekly lifestyle supplement to the leading Norwegian business daily Dagens Næringsliv. D2 is known for its decisive use of photography. where he still holds the same position.
Greger Ulf Nilson, born 1961, is among Scandinavia’s most prolifically award-winning art directors and graphic designers, with work ranging from visual identities, printed matter and major institutional advertising campaigns. His artistic approach is uncompromising and direct. Through long experience, he has gained a reputation as a conscientious, insightful brand strategist. Photography as an artform is often at the core of his work, and has brought him international recognition.
In 1998, he mounted the world’s most far-ranging photography exhibition, Under/Exposed, featuring work by 250 photographers, displayed throughout the Stockholm Metro system. In 2002, he began a collaboration with publisher Steidl Verlag under the GUN/Steidl imprint. In 2008, he founded Gun Gallery, a photographic art gallery in Stockholm. He has been a central figure in the development and international renaissance of photobooks in the past two decades, serving as an unofficial ambassador for the genre, both as a collector and as a creator of unique volumes. For the latter, he has received countless awards throughout the world.

In this talk, Evgenia traces a career shaped by instinct and urgency — from an intuitive pull to return to her Arctic hometown and reconnect with her childhood, to telling the stories of indigenous communities and wildlife on the frontline of a changing climate. And how the voice she found in photography led her to documentary filmmaking.

Christian Puglisi
A talk of ideas
In 2010, Chef Christian F. Puglisi opened Relæ Restaurant on a Nørrebro street better known for drug dealers and gangs than fine dining. Together with the restaurant, he transformed not only Copenhagen’s dining scene—and ultimately the global culinary landscape—but also the neighbourhood itself.
From the beginning, Puglisi partnered with Swedish photographer Per-Anders Jörgensen to create memorable food and restaurant imagery that immortalised both Relæ and its distinctive location. Their collaboration eventually culminated in the acclaimed book Relæ – A Book of Ideas.
In this session, they will reveal how to translate a chef’s vision and dishes into two-dimensional photographs. They’ll dive into their creative process and discuss how to leverage photography and moving images for authentic culinary communication.
Per‑Anders Jörgensen is Swedish photographer and visual storyteller based in Malmö, known for his soulful portraits and documentary-style images of the contemporary food world and its chefs. Working almost entirely with natural light, he collaborates with leading restaurants and publications worldwide and co-founded the influential, award-winning gastronomy magazine FOOL with his wife and art director Lotta Jörgensen.
Christian F. Puglisi is a Sicilian-born, Copenhagen-based chef and former restaurateur behind Relæ, Manfreds, Bæst, and Mirabelle, known for his thoughtful, sustainability‑driven take on New Nordic cuisine. On Instagram (@chrifrapug) and YouTube (“Cooking up the Good Life”) he shares visually rich stories from kitchen, farm, and family life, and his cookbook “A Book of Ideas” was photographed by Per‑Anders Jörgensen.

Ukrainian photographer now based in London, whose work explores the boundaries between public and private life, digital error, and the idea of home. He began as a photojournalist in 2008 and has since developed an experimental art practice, with projects published and exhibited internationally.
Søren Solkær
Black Sun and Amino Crystals
For seven years, Søren Solkær has been tracking the migratory flight paths of starlings across Europe to capture the extraordinary patterns made by their murmurations in the sky. He has photographed the starling murmurations, following their migration paths through seven European countries. The project has been exhibited worldwide and featured in The New York Times and National Geographic. Søren will also show some examples of his new works with crystallised amino acids. A hidden landscape is revealed in these photographs of crystals through a macro lens, that reveal the crystal’s hidden order.

Hans Jonsson
Wet plate collodion photography
Photographer Hans Jonsson works with one of the very first photographic processes, wetplate collodion photography from the mid-19th century. Instead of film, you photograph on glass, the cameras are big and old, and you always have to bring your darkroom with you. Wetplate collodion photograhpy was the start of photography as we see it today. Join Hans as he demonstrates the wet plate technique.
Hans has been a photographer since the early 1980s, mainly with his base in Malmö, Sweden. He started as newspaper photographer with Sydsvenska Dagbladet travelling Sweden and part of the world. Thereafter he went in to advertising and commercial photography. Nowadays Hans focus on a very special type of photography that is over 150 years old. This is called Wet Plate Collodium Photography. He has gone from digital back to the original craft, switching from quick to the slow.

Åsa Haleby has spent the past seven years working as a photographer at IKEA Marketing & Communication in Älmhult. Educated in the United States, she is also an alumna of Fotoskolan STHLM. Her work combines technical precision with a strong visual sensibility, creating compelling commercial imagery both in the studio and on location.
Johan Månsson worked for more than 20 years as an art director in Stockholm before moving into photography. He went on to create editorial work for several leading interior and design magazines, and joined IKEA Marketing & Communication 10 years ago. He is an alumnus of Beckmans School of Design. His background in art direction continues to inform his photographic eye, with a strong focus on composition, storytelling, and atmosphere.
Together — and in their individual practices — Åsa and Johan have photographed numerous global campaigns for IKEA, both in IKEA’s 8,000-square-metre studio in Älmhult and on location around the world. Their images are delivered to more than 60 markets globally, combining large-scale production experience with a shared passion for visual storytelling.

My name is Ritchie Roesch and I live near Phoenix, Arizona. I’ve been a part-time and hobby photographer for over two decades. I studied photography in college under June Van Cleef. I started off using 35mm film, and I’ve been shooting digital for nearly 15 years now. Currently, I’m a full-time photographer, blogger, and app developer.
Fuji X Weekly is a photography blog dedicated to all things Fujifilm. It’s an online journal where I talk about my experiences and opinions. A Lens Around The World
Charlene has used the first generation of Fujinon primes since 2012, and they continue to be her trusted glass through the years, personally and professionally. What’s their magic? And will she ever give up her battered old XF35mmF1.4?
Charlene is a photographer, media producer, writer, editor and raft of other things in-between / around. Born and bred in Singapore, she has spent over two decades working and travelling as a photographer in Australia, Europe and North America. Prior to returning to Singapore in 2020, Charlene worked with refugees and internally displaced people in northern Iraq for a US aid organisation. She is passionate about community, and in her work as a producer and editor, has championed important social issues, supporting practitioners in the field to tell stories of those most in need, as well as those making an impact.
Charlene is a founder and editor of Parallax Photo Journal together with photographers Tom White and Matthew Aslett. Parallax is a platform that amplifies Southeast Asian perspectives and voices through documentary photography.

Flemming uses X-T5 cameras to work for Denmark’s top artists on the largest stages, from Roskilde Festival’s iconic Orange Stage to Parken Stadium. Learn camera settings and techniques, that will work from a small venue to a sold-out arena. Flemming is a fulltime music and event photographer and has been using the FUJIFILM cameras since 2012.
Gaui H
Adventure with X and GFX
Gaui H is an adventure photographer and filmmaker whose work lives at the intersection of wilderness, music, and storytelling. With a deep connection to the Nordic landscapes and the raw energy of heavy music, Gaui has built a visual style that blends atmosphere, authenticity, and a sense of exploration.
Much of his work is shaped by time spent in extreme environments, including sailing expeditions through the Arctic, where shifting ice, endless horizons, and unpredictable weather create both challenges and inspiration. These experiences have become a defining element of his visual approach, documenting moments that feel untamed, immersive, and real.
Alongside his adventure photography, Gaui has directed and filmed music videos for internationally recognized bands such as Enslaved, Týr, Hamferð, and Draconian. His work in the music world often draws on the same cinematic landscapes and elemental moods found in his outdoor projects, creating visuals that feel both epic and intimate.
Working primarily with the Fujifilm X-H2S as his main camera, Gaui combines modern digital tools with a documentary mindset, focusing on capturing moments as they unfold rather than staging them.
Whether navigating Arctic waters, collaborating with musicians, or exploring remote Nordic terrain, Gaui’s work is driven by curiosity, atmosphere, and the pursuit of stories found far from the ordinary.

*Be sure to arrive early to take advantage of this service, as they can only service a limited number of cameras during the event. Also, the Check & Clean service is limited to one camera body and one lens per person.

Magnum: A World in Color
A World in Color – Nordic Countries
In 2025, Magnum Photos began the digitization of its color library archive, thanks to its partnership with Fujifilm and the French Médiathèque du Patrimoine et de la Photographie. A World in Color marks a step to preserve Magnum’s legacy for future generations and to unearth the unseen color images that have been hidden away for decades. Working country by country, Magnum started the journey in Europe and the public was invited behind the scenes as Magnum’s teams used the FUJIFILM Large Format GFX digital system to bring the slides to life. In 2025, six activations took place across Europe as part of Fujifilm’s FUJIKINA events, featuring curated unseen images and slide sheets with original annotations by photographers and editors. After Prague, Milan, Brussels, Arles, London and Cologne, the project will travel to Copenhagen as part of Fujifilm’s FUJIKINA. The exhibition brings unseen photographs of the Nordic countries to light alongside new, original work by Magnum photographer Jonas Bendiksen, created in direct response to the rediscovered archive. Displayed alongside original slide sheets at The Lab, these works offer a richly layered portrait of the Nordic countries—past and present—as seen through diverse perspectives.

FUJIKINA by Camera: 1 Hour, 1 Theme, 1 Photo
Stockholm Fotomaraton presents its exciting competition format — a fast-paced take on the classic photo marathon. This is your chance not only to explore the latest cameras, lenses, and photography gear all day but also to get out and shoot your own images.
On Sunday May 10th, we’ll gather at 11:00 at the entrance to FUJIKINA Copenhagen 2026. Here, the theme will be announced. From that moment, you’ll have exactly one hour to seek out and capture your personal interpretation of the theme.
When time’s up, simply submit your photo via our web app. Then the fun begins — all participants become the jury. Each person gets one vote. The winner will receive the FUJIFILM X half — along with the honour and bragging rights.
Maximum of 100 participants. First come, first served. Free to enter.
