Once connecting a compatible X Series or GFX camera to a Mac or PC, the FUJIFILM X Acquire enables users to transfer images taken with the camera to the Mac or PC and save them in a specified folder. It also supports backup/restore of camera settings via USB cable. The software can be downloaded from the FUJIFILM website for free.

Install
Double-click on the downloaded file to install.
Windows
Install the FUJIFILM X Acquire by following the instructions in the window.
Mac
Drag the FUJIFILM X Acquire icon to the Application folder.
User Guide 1- Preparing for Tethered Shooting
1. Put the camera in tether operation mode.
Follow the Owner’s Manual or New Feature Guide instruction and select the PC SHOOT MODE (PC SHOOT AUTO, USB AUTO, USB TETHER SHOOTING AUTO)
In the AUTO settings (PC SHOOT AUTO / USB AUTO), the camera acts normally when not connected to a Mac or PC, and goes into the tethered shooting mode when connected to a Mac or PC. Note that when the camera is in its default state of tethered shooting, it does not record images to its memory card.
* During tethered shooting with the camera in the AUTO (PC SHOOT AUTO / USB AUTO / USB TETHER SHOOTING AUTO) mode, if you unplug the USB cable connecting your camera and computer while there are still images in the camera awaiting transfer to the connected Mac or PC, the camera goes back into normal mode, resulting in the loss of the images awaiting transfer. You can avoid losing images this way by selecting the FIXED settings (PC SHOOT FIXED / USB FIXED / USB TETHER SHOOTING FIXED). However, in this case, the camera stays in the tethered shooting mode regardless of whether any USB cable is connected.
2. Use a USB cable to connect the camera with your Mac or PC
3. Launch FUJIFILM X Acquire
The FUJIFILM X Acquire runs in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows).
You need to specify the destination folder when you run FUJIFILM X Acquire for the first time. Follow the instructions in the window and specify the destination folder. You can re-select the destination folder again later from the FUJIFILM X Acquire icon in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows).
User Guide 2- Specifying where to save your images
In the default state, captured images are transferred to and saved in your Mac or PC computer only. You can specify where your images should be saved according to their types. From the FUJIFILM X Acquire icon in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows), select [Preferences…].
In the Preferences window, select the [File Type] tab.

You can check camera settings by showing the window. From the FUJIFILM X Acquire icon in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows), select [Show Window].

From the FUJIFILM X Acquire icon in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows), select [Exit].
User Guide 5- Use Wi-Fi instead of USB cable
You can specify where to search a camera to network.
From the FUJIFILM X Acquire icon in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows), select [Preferences…].
In the Preferences window, select [Camera Search] tab.
Specify how to search a camera on your network. The camera connected on your network can be operated. Refer the links below to setup a camera:

User Guide 6- Backup / Restoring Camera Setting
1. Follow the Owner’s Manual or New Feature Guide instruction and select the Backup/Restore mode (USB RAW CONV. / BACKUP RESTORE)
2. Use a USB cable to connect the camera with your Mac or PC
3. Launch FUJIFILM X Acquire
The FUJIFILM X Acquire runs in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows).
4. Click on the FUJIFILM X Acquire icon in the menu bar (for Mac) / taskbar (for Windows) and select “BACKUP CAMERA SETTINGS…” or “RESTORE CAMERA SETTINGS…”
All of the camera settings except for DATE/TIME, results of CUSTOM WHITE BALANCE, and customized QUICK menu can be backed up and restored.
