Meir Rakocz(Israel)
Born in Paris France in 1949, presently living in Tel Aviv , Israel.
I am a health-care provider , as well as a lung cancer patient, who shares the time between the fields of mortality and morbidity, healing & dying ,esthetics and deception, out there in the clinics or in my photography studio, for the last 15 years.
These issues were the core of My last 3 solo exhibitions “Otherwise, no change” (2019) , “ Morbidity & Mortality report “(2017) and “ Space occupying lesion” (2012).
My Photographic skills and artistic abilities are the fruits of an
autodidactic search.
My solo exhibition at the Ramat-Gan museum of Israeli contemporary
art 2013, “These are the names” dealt with memory and commemoration,
the personal memory Vs. the national/collective ethos
