Maxime Stange(France)

Maxime Stange is a fashion, beauty, & portrait photographer based in Paris, France. He works with a lot of high-end fashion and beauty magazines and his clients are big brands in cosmetic, clothing or technology companies. Self-taught, he spent countless hours testing lighting, by and on himself (he was afraid to bother anybody), while studying the pictures of the grand masters of photography. He also enjoys sharing knowledge, and already made a few workshops. He gave loads of studio & fashion photography lessons to young photo enthusiasts.

Fujifilm was until recently, an unknown for me. I have used and owned almost every brand in the digital photography market, from the APS-C, to the full frame, up to the Medium Format. I was just leaving from a big disappointment form a pillar brand of the industry. Then, from conversations to conversations, I started to pay attention to Fujifilm, and particularly to the X-T2. Meanwhile, I watched the brand's commitment to software improvement, and I was impressed of what happened: if there is room for software improvement, Fujifilm will do it. Selling my old gear, I was able to buy a X-T2 with 3 primes lenses, new. It was a "love at first sight" situation. My X-T2 was working better than my previous Camera (it was twice as cheap) but I could not see a loss in quality due to the switched from Full Frame to APS-C.

Time passed, and comes the GFX series. I had a serious experience with digital Medium Format before, so I was very interested in the birth of this line-up. I watched as the brand made logical and enlightened decisions. A few weeks later, I had the luck to join the Fujifilm Ambassador program, and today I am the proud and thrilled owner of the GFX 50R.
