Magnum Exhibition “Las Calles : In the Spirit of Youth “
For the third consecutive year, Fujifilm welcomes Magnum Photos and
spotlights the work of Alex Webb through the exhibition Las Calles:
In the Spirit of Youth. Having photographed for more than fifty years in
Mexico, Webb has explored the deep shadows, vibrant colours and
incandescent light of its enigmatic streets.
Alex Webb’s exhibition will remain on view until 30 August 2026 at the
Galerie Arena, 16 rue des Arènes, as part of the OFF programme.
Tendance Floue Exhibition
Continuing this exploration of documentary forms, the collective
Tendance Floue, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, also seeks
to capture the complexities of contemporary life. Such exceptio
nal longevity within the photographic landscape is no coincidence,
but the result of an enduring pursuit of independence and constant
reinvention. This anniversary also offers an opportunity to highlight a
long-standing and sustainable partnership with Fujifilm: a collaboration
initiated during the Fragiles project and now taking on a new form at
the heart of FUJIKINA.
This search takes shape within FUJIKINA through the exhibition by Yohanne Lamoulère and Alain Willaume. Presented within the same space, their residency works (one created at the Villa Albertine in the United States, the other at the Villa Kujoyama in Japan) resonate with one another.

The collective: a political issue?
After 13 years in existence, the LesAssociés collective presents itself as a political entity. Conceived through practice and structured by meaning, LesAssociés has placed the notion of living together at the heart of its projects. The dialogue between individual perspectives and the co-existence of multiple aims within photographic practice have been the driving force behind the group. Within this alchemy, constantly seeking balance, lies the crucial question of narrative: the group’s work is built upon genuine tensions between sensibilities and visions that are at times opposed. But how does one proceed when we are all so different? Through their three main projects – *D’ici, ça ne paraît pas si loin*, *Sauver les corps* and *600 degrés* – the collective’s members have gradually learnt how to move beyond the individual level in favour of a shared narrative that is neither a synthesis nor an extract from their work. In this talk, Alban Dejong and Alexandre Dupeyron will guide you through the photographic material of the group’s latest project, 600°, as well as the logic behind its presentation, where creative documentaries, books, museum exhibitions and public spaces each play a different part. They will raise the crucial question of the singularity of the individual as the sole purpose of contemporary photography, and of the values embodied by the collective principle in the face of the challenges of our time.
Biography
Founded in 2013 in Bordeaux, LesAssociés now comprises six photographers and two filmmakers. Frédéric Corbion Alban Dejong Alexandre Dupeyron Cyrille Latour Élie Monferier Olivier Panier des Touches Michaël Parpet Joël Peyrou The collective has undertaken three projects in the form of photographic commissions: ‘From here, it doesn’t seem so far away’, an exploration of the sense of belonging in Nouvelle-Aquitaine following the 2015 territorial reform. ‘Saving bodies or The Covid-19 Pandemic One Year On in France and Germany’. *600 Degrees*, loss and resilience of the forest ecosystem and its inhabitants in southern Gironde following the massive wildfires of 2022. Each project included a campaign to collect audio testimonies. *D’ici, ça ne paraît pas si loin* and *600 Degrees* were presented in public spaces.

Alex Webb : Errand and Epiphany
The magic of the streets is the mingling of the errand and the epiphany. — Rebecca Solnit
Acclaimed color street photographer Alex Webb will present photographs from the past 50 years, from his early black and white work to the present day. A full member of Magnum Photos since 1979, he will discuss the crucial role that the vibrant color, deep shadows, and searing light of both Mexico and Haiti played in his transition from black and white to color in the late 1970’s. This earlier work will help put into context Webb’s photographs from the exhibition Las Calles, which explores the theme of youth and has been enriched with 10 new images taken with the GFX 100 II, commissioned by Fujifi lm. Webb will also present work from the following books: La Calle: Photographs from Mexico, Violet Isle: A Duet of Photographs from Cuba—his fi rst collaboration with the poet and photographer Rebecca Norris Webb, his wife and creative partner—and his upcoming Aperture book (fall, 2026) on U.S. cities, entitled Walking Blues.
Biography
Alex Webb is one of the most famous contemporary street photographers, renowned for his vivid and intricate photographs. Over his some 50-year career, Webb’s photographic voice is both striking and enigmatic in capturing street life around the world. Through his unique awareness of light, he has created a distinctive aesthetic of shadow and color.
Webb has authored more than 15 books, including The Suff ering of Light, a survey book of 30 years of his color photographs, as well as six collaborative books with his wife and creative partner, the poet and photographer Rebecca Norris Webb.
He’s exhibited at museums worldwide including the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. His work is in numerous collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego.
A Magnum Photos member since 1979, his work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Geo, National Geographic, Vogue, and other major publications. Webb has received numerous awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2007. His upcoming book on U.S. cities, Walking Blues, will be released by Aperture in fall 2026.

Les métamorphoses du laboratoire
Hosted by Vincent Marcilhacy, publisher and artistic director
With photographers Emilie Arfeuil, Anna Katarina Scheidegger & Grégoire Eloy
and the printers: Christophe Batifoulier, PICTO & Christophe Pete, Janvier
The event will be followed by a book signing for *Les métamorphoses du laboratoire, The Eyes*, in collaboration with the Picto Foundation
“A book that invites photographers to reveal their printing practices and gives a voice to the printers – the artisans working behind the scenes – so they can pass ontheir perspective and their intimate relationship with the photographic medium.”
An approach to photographic printing that brings the practice to life, making it more tangible and shared. A deeply symbolic opportunity: to enshrine the act of printing within the grand history of photography. A way of bringing to light the invisible ones of photography: the printer, who is rarely in the spotlight.
A commitment to passing on both tangible and intangible heritage in line with the project’s aims, to propose that analogue photography be recognised by UNESCO as part of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage. To preserve, document and pass on technical, sensitive and human skills, threatened by the dematerialisation of the image. An opportunity to celebrate an anniversary: the bicentenary of photography.

“EDITING WITH PURPOSE
How to build meaningful and efficient visual narratives.“
This workshop offers a space for reflection and dialogue on the process of editing photographs to create compelling visual narratives with a purpose. Transforming a group of images into a cohesive photo essay that communicates both content and intent is a major challenge. Editing involves more than choosing strong photos: it’s about sequencing, rhythm, coherence, atmosphere, and crafting a visual language that speaks beyond aesthetics and adapts to different platforms of diffusion. The workshop will combine theory and practical editing exercises.
Arianna Rinaldo is an independent curator, photography consultant, photo editor
She is a freelance professional working with photography at a wide range. From 2012 to 2021 she was the artistic director of Cortona On The Move. In 2016 she co-founded PhEST, a festival of contemporary photography and arts in Puglia. Arianna’s relationship with photography started in 1998 as archive director at Magnum Photos in New York; and then as photo editor for Colors magazine in Italy. In Milan from 2004 to 2011, she worked as a photo consultant for publications. For 8 years she was the editorial director of OjodePez, a bilingual documentary photo magazine published by La Fabrica. Based in Barcelona since 2012, Arianna continues to develop projects at an international level. Besides her curatorial activity, Arianna is engaged in teaching and mentoring. She is in the selection committee of institutions such as the Leica Oskar Barnack Award, BJP “Ones to Watch”, and the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize.
