YM Raja Noor Kamal Asiken bin Raja Hussin or also known as Raja Kamal R. Hussin is a Malaysian freelance Professional photographer based in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. A degree holder in Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (now Universiti Putra Malaysia) Raja Kamal has chosen Ngkuli as his creative name. Other than portraying his work in photos, he is also active in sharing his knowledge and skills, not only as a photography instructor in Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, from 2010 until now, but has also organized various landscape photography workshops all over Malaysia. As the Vice President of Kelab Karyawan Lensa Negeri Kelantan, from 2010 to 2016, Ngkuli has organized programmes related to photography for photography clubs/associations/communities in Malaysia. His passion in photography has helped him in producing photos that put them in a class of their own.
His expertise in photography has sparked the interest of the chief editor of a well- known photography magazine in Malaysia, ‘Aperture’ to select him to be in their team as photo critic. Apart from being a photo critic, he is also a regular article contributor for ‘Aperture’. He wrote mostly on tips and ways of producing beautiful & quality landscape photos.
His accomplishment in photography has also inspired Nikon Club Malaysia to name him as their ‘State Liaison’ for the state of Kelantan, from 2012-2016. As the ‘State Liaison’, he was deeply involved in planning and organizing a lot of programmes for the club. Some of the programmes conducted were ‘Photo Hunt’, ‘Members Get Together’ as well as photography workshops especially for club members. After his contract with Malaysia Nikon Club has expired, he was then appointed by Fujifilm Malaysia as one of their X-Photographer for Fujifilm cameras. He has also been chosen to be the Ambassador for Ray Master Camera Filters Malaysia, a famous brand for filters from Europe. YM Raja Kamal has also been invited to judge various photo contests such as ‘Royal Belum Asia Photo Contest 2014’, ‘Geo photography Competition 2014’, ‘Kemaman Photo Contest 2013’ and ‘Royal Belum Photography Challenge 2017’.
